2025 Sunday Night at the Beach: Edition 1

It’s the Mother’s Day Portrait Edition! It was the most ridiculously warm Mother’s Day ever, a truly hot day, and after Peanut Maximus and I dropped off Mr. TOF at choir rehearsal, we decided to head to the beach for a quick bit of relief. YaYa was home visiting for the week, and when she asked what I wanted for mother’s day, I replied “Three poems, typed, and your portrait!” I did not get 3 typed poems. I did get flowers and the opportunity to take her portrait!

While I was photographing YaYa, Peanut Maximus was having a grand time scaling boulders and throwing rocks into the water. It was nice and chilly at the beach, which was refreshing! We also brought his bicycle for a ride on the Lakewalk that now runs through the rocky beach, and it was perfect because the temperature was so much better at the bottom of the hill. A bike ride at the top of the hill would have turned us all into sweaty tomato faced miserable creatures.
