Serendipitous Stop

The Banana, Peanut Maximus and I took a quick road trip to North Dakota to visit Grandma Robbie on her farm, and along the way a little detour on the highway put us a couple of blocks south of the road we normally drive on, and we happened to spot a playground. Since it was lunch time, a playground sounded like the perfect stop for a tiny person, but when we got there we were surprised to find that there was not only a playground at this park, but also a splash pad and a kiddie pool! For free public use! We ate and had a great time playing in the water.

I think you can see the joy these two water bugs had! We couldn’t have had a better lunch time snack, and now that we know this little park exists, it might become a regular stop for us when we drive to North Dakota in the summer! We would have stopped again on our way home, but it was raining that day.
