Mr. Trouble on Feet Celebrates Sixteen

The Banana made this awesome celebratory sign on the chalkboard. Peanut Maximus had a celebratory sign on the side panel. I’m so thankful that I managed to photograph it before Peanut Maximus ended up accidentally erasing it while playing with the garden hose while I was teaching later in the afternoon.

Mr. TOF always seems to celebrate his birthday on one of the hottest, most miserable days of the summer, and this was definitely not an exception from the rule. It was the third day of crazy, crazy heat, and the rotting mouse corpse in the motor of the refrigerator was making things extra aromatic on his special day.

Nevertheless, after I finished teaching morning lessons the three kids home had breakfast in the bathtub. Peanut Maximus now fully realizes the silliness of this affair, and was ALL about the menu and location. Even though The Banana and Mr. TOF left the tub after finishing their own donuts, he faithfully stayed in until he could stuff no more donut in his mouth. He’s greatly anticipating getting to celebrate his own birthday in a few weeks.

The Banana and Mr. TOF went off on their own for a special sibling brunch to celebrate the day, and then Mr. TOF came back for a long afternoon of napping.

He went back and forth about what he might want to have for supper, and in the end decided on Vitta Pizza. Since we were in the middle of moving the fridge to retrieve the mouse corpse, The Banana drove him down to order the pizza and bring it home, but when they got there the line to order was a wait for more than an hour, so they abandoned that idea and got Noodles and Company instead, and brought that home to eat on the back deck.

Since was getting pretty dark and pretty buggy on the back deck, we came inside for delicious ice cream cake and present opening.

After Peanut Maximus headed to bed Mr. TOF watched not one but TWO movies to end the night.
