Irritating My Mother

I was on a quest while on vacation to take some good photographs of my mother all by herself.  It's always fun to take good photographs of my mother, because following my mother around with my camera and various different lenses really drives her over the edge.  And driving your mother over the edge every once in awhile is fun even when you are 32 years old.

My mother does not cooperate with me and my camera.  This just prolongs the agony/fun.  Rather than just taking a few good pictures, I get to follow her closely for days, snapping here, snapping there.  I took pictures of her cooking.  I followed her outside and took pictures of her getting the mail (and I slipped on the ice in the process) I took pictures of her reading the mail, watching TV, talking, and dodging snowballs that my dad threw in her direction.   I would love to show you all of them, the entire collection of my mother's interesting facial expressions that I captured during our stay with her, but there were A LOT of pictures.  So, I'm only going to show you my very favorite pictures.

I think it was a success on all accounts:  I got pictures I loved, (The ones I'm not posting were so interesting, too) and I kept my mother on her toes.  I'm good at keeping her on her toes. No one can keep her on her toes quite like me.  God made me special.

You are right on one thing, God did make you special. Very irritating at times, but Oh, so special!!! Love you anyway you are.

I love these pics of your mom. I have a hard time capturing my mom too. I will say this… if you look at all like your mom did when she was your age, my dear Rachel, you are only going to get BETTER with age. She’s lovely.
