February Ice

The wind storm that blew all those magnificent waves onto the rocks a few weeks ago left some amazing ice structures behind.  We were down at the rocky beach last Monday evening and enjoyed seeing which rocks were covered in ice and which were not, and perhaps the most magnificent of all were the scrawny twigs of last summer’s weeds that were covered in ice as thick as my arm.  It was amazing that such tiny branches could form such enormous ice blobs.  YaYa and The Banana had a great time exploring, and Dr. Peds and Mr. SP had a great time throwing ice onto ice and seeing which cracked, and what ice was thin enough to spear through, and whether or not they could pick up big crusts of ice off the boulders:  typical boy stuff.  It was good to be outside.

I love how you all love life, and see the beauty everywhere. I cannot wait to come for a visit.
