Never a Dull Moment

This, my friends, is drumming.  Wild and crazy drumming perhaps only surpassed by Jim Henson’s Muppets.  Only noisier.  While they were drumming they were singing “Strangers in the Night,” but with their own crazy melody.  “Strangers in the Night” is a family joke because my husband and I don’t travel well by car.  We need our personal space, or at least I do, and being trapped in a car is not fun for me.  Dr. Peds likes to drive me as crazy as possible on a car trip, so crazy that I have considered opening the door and jumping out, and one of his favorite techniques is singing “Strangers in the Night,” a melody that just sticks in my head and irritates me to no end, for miles and miles and miles when we are driving.  The kidlets picked up on it, but at least they don’t know the melody, so they created interesting, loud, melodies of their own for the title words.  They are so proud of themselves.

I can’t wait until it’s easier to throw them outside for a few hours.
