Snow Houses

While I was teaching on Thursday, one of our babysitters helped the kidlets make a snow house on the deck.  He shoveled snow up in a heap, and then they carved out an interior cove big enough to fit a lawn chair!  They made windows, and even a fireplace inside.  YaYa used the snowball maker to fashion a very ornate chimney above the fireplace.  You can’t see the details of the chimney well on these pictures, but it really is neat.  Yesterday Dr. Peds helped them build another snow house just across from this one on the deck while some neighbor friends were here playing.  One of the old Christmas trees is still stuck in the snow on the porch, so they have a nice little spot to do some pretend playing for the next few days.
