Fun Blocks, Fun Books

I built this little octopus last Friday, inspired by some of the fascinating projects in our new Kapla books.  I think these little blocks are the best.  One day we made a skyscraper that reached the ceiling.   It's fun to be creative with them, and it's fun to follow plans to build interesting projects that I'm not creative enough to figure out how to build on my own.  Best of all, they are so well suited for so many different abilities of the builders.  The Banana likes to simply stack them and line them up.  Mr. Sneaky Pants loves a simple, tall skyscraper.  Sarah has come up with all sorts of amazing shapes and structures, and the blocks are versatile that engineering students and artists have made some absolutely magnificent pieces of artwork.  They are fun to knock down too!
