More Saturday Fun at the Beach

We spent the middle of our Saturday with our good friends at the beach, celebrating the above freezing temperatures.  The sun was shining full force.  The ice was twinkling.  The grown ups had great discussions, and the kids had a terrific time drawing numbers and letters on the giant rocks with wet fingers, climbing over ice formations, and, most fun of all, playing icicle cafe.  

Sarah found an ice cave and crawled inside.  She knocked down thick icicles to serve to the "costumers."

Fun stuff.  After playing for a few hours we all enjoyed eating pizza together.  It takes a lot of pizza to feed six very hungry kids.  Wow.
