Visiting Alex

It was so entertaining to spend time with Alex when we were in North Dakota.  He’s the most tumble bumble toddler I’ve come across for a very, very long time.  He literally goes full speed ahead, at least 97 miles per hour, every waking moment of his day, and he just tumbles and stumbles into anything in his path, gets up and tumbles in a new direction.  He is one of the busiest little people I know, and good natured to boot.  Sleep is not something he gives into easily.  ENERGY is his thing!  And he has lots of it.

It was hilarious to watch him outside.  Someone helped him into his galoshes and he tumble bumbled right on over to the biggest puddle he could find and walked through it.  The he stumbled.  And sat in the puddle.  Then he decided to roll in the puddle.  Then he got stuck on his tummy in the puddle.  Dot helped him up, and he repeated this again, and again, and again and again.

Of course, after all that puddle fun, he needed to have a bath, and since Squirmy loves a bath as well and couldn’t bear to stay out of the bathroom when Alex was doing all that splashing, we just stuck the two of them in the bathtub together.  Check out how thrilled Squirmy was to be included.
