Floating the Boats

I ordered some cork, knowing that my boat building kidlets would have a great time with it.  The day it came, they went right to work with the hot glue gun.  Only one minor little mishap with the hot glue ensued, and they had a terrific time working together making these boats.  Mr. SP fashioned two racing kayaks, YaYa made a historical sailing vessel, and The Banana had some help from her big sister  to make her tall ship.  Earlier this week we took them over to the secret creek to test them out.  The kidlets were very excited that they floated so very well. There was lots of tromping up and down the stream, and not even a leach in sight!   We have plans to take the boats to the beach too.
