Scenes from the Cabin: The Wise Janzie

I was taking a picture of one of her sisters when she said to me, “You know, Auntie Rachel, you really should tell her not to look at the camera.”

Intrigued, I asked, “Hmm.  Why do you say that?”

“The best pictures are always when someone isn’t really looking, and they aren’t really paying attention.”

Why, exactly, I thought.  Those are definitely the kind of pictures I like best.  Ninety percent of the world is not as perceptive and wise as my niece.
