Things I am Loving Right Now

  • I am loving the way The Banana refers to Junie B. Jones in the chapter books we are reading out loud as “Junie B. Bones.”
  • I am loving those quick moving toddler feet that tromp miles each day, even though they seem to lead my little bug into all sorts of mess making and trouble that takes me hours to clean up.
  • I am loving that yesterday was Monday and it actually went smoothly, and that the after school hours were mostly void of kid-kid battles and kid-mama battles and mama-kid battles, and that all the homework got done without too much of a fuss for the first time since homework started this school year.
  • I am loving lying on the warm wood on the deck in the middle of the day when it radiates heat from the sunshine.  I’m trying to soak up every last drop of natural warmth before it soon ends.
  • I am loving the kids in my three year old Sunday School class that take such exuberant delight in building enormous towers out of big blocks and then knocking them to the floor.  It’s amazing just HOW entertaining falling blocks can be.  The crash sends them pealing into laughter and squealing with joy as they jump up and down.
  • I am loving online shopping.
  • Of course, I am loving the leaves that are changing colors every day.  It’s my favorite season of the year.
  • I am loving Mr. Trouble on Feet’s open mouthed kisses, even if it IS hard not to turn my head away reflexively when those gobs of drool and snot and goober are coming right at me.
