Window Art

I WISH I could tell you that this activity was one of those wonderful, warm family art experiences.  The truth of the matter is that there was bickering taking place the whole time that these kidlets were drawing, and that Mr. Trouble on Feet was VERY distressed that no one would let him have a marker of his own, so he picked up a flashlight someone had negligently left in the middle of the floor and tried forcefully banging on the glass with that.

When I was straightening out some art supplies in the basement, I came across these window markers that hadn’t seen the light of day in several years, and only one of them was actually dried up, so I called kidlets into the cabin room from various nooks and crannies of the house and told them to use the sliding glass door as a canvas.  They loved drawing.  They did not love sharing the markers and communicating with one another about what color they might wish to use next.  There was a lot of frantic scribbling and not so much carefully constructed art, but we are going to try this again another day when things are a bit calmer, because underneath all the squabbling, they did have fun.
