Catching Up

We were so thrilled to be able to have our good friends from residency in Wisconsin come and visit us from the great state of Montana.  Our two nights and one full day with them were spent in fantastic conversation, and sprinkled with lots of fun kid activities.  We played outside with bikes on the sidewalk, visited the children's museum, where they had a wonderful time dressing up like princesses, queens, jesters, cooks and magicians.  Mr. Sneaky Pants, of course, donned his knight armor and did a wonderful job protecting us by hurtling imaginary rocks at the great dragon.

Here is our guest, Little E.  dressed up like a magician.  She's staring at the magestic, roaring dragon that my knight is fighting.  The dragon makes quite an impression on tots.  (I know, this picture is a little out of focus, but I love it anyway because of her facial expression.)

I'm not sure what costume The Banana is wearing in this next image.  She, as usual, had her own unique idea about her wardrobe choice.  Who am I to argue?

We jotted down to the train museum, where everyone had a great time climbing into the different trains.  After school Sarah joined us, and she and the eldest sister of our guests were quite the giggleboxes.  It was pretty fun to hear them laugh and laugh and laugh.

Everyone played hard and had such a good time, and after all the small people were tucked into bed, the grown ups had a good time visiting, too.  We were very sad to see them go.  We miss living closer to them.  Here are my two very favorite images from the visit:
