  • Today is a beautiful day:  fifty degrees, cloudy, foggy, and damp.  I like it much better than this ridiculous summer weather we have been having in March!  Sixty eight degrees and humid does not belong in March, although it makes some people very happy. There are reasons why I live where I do, and on of them is that we have a lot of dark, damp fifty degree days throughout the year.  Nice!
  • Yesterday there was a water main break on our block, which left my neighborhood without water for the afternoon and evening.  The Banana exclaimed to me, “I’m so glad we bought lots of milk at the grocery store so I don’t have to worry about dying!”
  • Mr. Trouble on Two Feet doesn’t say very many words, and I’m not even bothering to be worried about that this time around, because I can tell he hears miraculously well, he just doesn’t choose to talk with his voice.  However, I must scrunch up my nose whenever I change his smelly diapers (more times in a day I ever thought possible  . . . that child really knows how to use his diaper) because whenever we are dealing with a diaper now, he scrunches up his face, sticks out his tongue and yells “BLECH!  BLECH!”  And then laughs at me.
  • Mr. SP came home from school very sad yesterday because he missed the “pie-in-a-teacher’s-face” assembly at school.  On the way down to the gym he got his arm caught in the railing on the stairwell, and he was stuck.  It took two teachers and the janitor more than 20 minutes to free his appendage.  Several of my piano students reported to me that the retiring kindergarten teacher got the pie in her face this year, and then the pie war spread to the principal and a few other people.
  • The Arrowhead Chorale, the choir that I sing in, just started rehearsing for our May concert series, and I LOVE a couple of the pieces we are going to be doing.  The alto II part is low, and rich and lovely, my favorite kind of music to sing.
