An Evening with The Banana

The other kidlets were off doing something special with Dr. Peds tonight, so The Banana and I decided to run to Target and the grocery store to take care of some necessary shopping.  She was so happy to stroll around Target and point out things that were of interest to her (bikes, baby dolls, ducks, shoes, and things of that sort).  When we got to the door of the grocery store, she wiggled right out of my arms, ran through the door and gestured wildly for me to use the only remaining car cart.  She, of course, had plans to drive!  Usually driving the car cart is Mr. Sneaky Pants’ job.  The Banana is usually relegated to riding in the backpack on my back, where she cannot get ahold of any of the fresh produce and fling it across the store.  She was THRILLED to be the little person in charge of the car cart.  We happily shopped for our food and drove home to have turkey sandwiches.  After supper, she and I decided to go for a short walk around the block.  It was very exciting to pick up bundles of sticks on the sidewalk and give the boulevard trees hugs and kisses.
