Fascination with Auntie Dot and Max the Horse

On the way back from North Dakota Sarah, sitting in the middle row of the van next to The Banana asked Mr. Sneaky Pants, sitting in the back row, if he would like to borrow one of her Where’s Waldo books to look at.

Mr. Sneaky Pants: Oh. Uhm. Where’s Waldo is a nice guy. But you really like Waldo Sarah, and Waldo really likes you. Do you want to read Where’s Waldo, Sarah?

Sarah: I like Waldo, but I have two Waldo books in my basket here. Do you want to read one.

Mr. Sneaky Pants: You can keep Waldo. Waldo loves you best. (Long Pause) But Auntie Dot loves me best.

Needless to say, Mr. Sneaky Pants is vastly in love with Auntie Dot. While we were in North Dakota Auntie Dot had to do EVERYTHING for Noah because she does everything that much better than me. Each morning we were visiting Gramma Kathy, we had to have a small snack upon waking, but wait for Auntie Dot to get up to actually have breakfast, because breakfast tastes so much better with Auntie Dot. And, Auntie Dot makes lemon water “tea” that she cools down with ice cubes. Auntie Dot is in charge of thrilling horse rides and scheduling special time to go out to eat at Budget Burger, a little fast food place in Valley City that has an amazing playland. Luckily we will be seeing Auntie Dot again in just a few weeks because she is getting married! Hooray!

Meet Maximilian Smart. He was so cooperative for this portrait! Ha! Sarah loves to call him by his whole name: Maximilian Smart, but Noah prefers just calling him Max. Max is an extremely patient horse.
