At the Mouth of the Lester River

YaYa has an ability to get her brother and sister to accomplish daring things, like submerse themselves from head to toe in freezing cold water, or in this case, jump off a rock ledge into deep water and swim across to a sand bar.  (They were all wearing life jackets and it was safe).  Mr. SP had already been standing on the sand bar for ten minutes, while his big talking sister just couldn’t seem to take the plunge.  She’d already been in the water, so it wasn’t the temperature that was bothering her, and she’s very good at swimming in deep water, plus she was clad in a wetsuit and life jacket.  The problem was the water was crystal clear, and the beautiful, big boulders far under the water were making it intimidating.

She did it eventually, though, as did her little sister who spent a lot less time on the ledge.
