Once Upon a Paper Bag

On Thursday afternoon I was up in my office working on my computer. In ran an excited Mr. Sneaky Pants. In his hand was a crumpled up, ripped brown paper bag that he had acquired from under the couch. “I play CROSS!” He gleefully yelled. In my head I was thinking, “What in the world?” But he went on to mention how the big boys play cross at swimming lessons and motioned how to catch things in the paper bag, and I vaguely remembered taking Sarah to swimming lessons next fall and pointing out some college guys at lacrosse practice across the street. “Do you mean lacrosse?” I asked, and he was jumping up and down, yelling that when he was playing lacrosse just like the big guys. So we had to go down and take a few pictures of his handy dandy lacrosse equipment. Not only was I impressed with his imaginative use of the paper bag, but I also couldn’t believe he remembered such a brief encounter of a rather obscure sport.
