Waking Up

Many mornings Mr. Trouble on Feet wakes up right along with the big kids because they are incredibly noisy in the morning as they stomp about finding clothes and fight about brushing their teeth and wail about one thing or another.  The first thing Mr. TOF asks about when he gets up is, “Hannah home?  SSSSSSSSSS home?  Noah home?  Daddy home?”

He really likes them to be around when he wakes up, and when he goes to sleep.  In fact, these days he asks specifically for each person to come in to tuck him in at separate times in the evening.  Saying goodnight to everyone can take a good deal of time, which is just how this boy likes it.

The morning that these images were taken, everyone had already left for school, and he was not really happy about that.  He carefully looked out the window to see if he could perchance still see them and expressed his disgust with the situation and told me how he would be waiting for them to come back home.
