Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with the Masons

A long time ago all the Masons (except for poor Auntie Amy Texas who couldn’t teleport in) planned to get together in the Twin Cities at a hotel with a waterpark during March.  I’m not sure if anyone really noticed at the time that we would all be together for St. Patrick’s Day, but that’s how it worked out.  Faithful readers might recall that St. Patrick’s Day is a HUGE holiday for Dr. Peds and his family.  It’s a very big deal, and full of all sorts of green silliness as they truly celebrate their Irish ancestry.  I’m not Irish, but my mother-in-law counts me as Irish.

On Sunday morning everyone was up and dressed for success, meeting in Grandma Kathy’s hotel room for a delicious breakfast.  I did not even manage to get a picture of each person in their wonderful regalia, so you’ll have to trust me when I say that everyone was decked out very nicely.  That many high energy people (16 to be specific) in a hotel room makes for a busy place.  It was a bopping party, complete with decorations, green orange juice, and Lucky Charms cereal for the fortunate children who ate all of their scrambled eggs.

Unfortunately everyone had to take off their amazing attire after breakfast to put their swimsuits on and head down for more adventures in the waterpark before some of us had to leave to travel back home.   We certainly had a great holiday breakfast together.  The colors in some of these images are a bit crazy because things were happening so quickly and I didn’t take time to set a proper white balance.  The lighting in the hotel room was really a strange mixture, but I believe you will still get a feel for the crazy celebration.
