Happy

Mr. Trouble on Feet has been talking more and more, and it is so wonderful to finally hear about what goes on inside his little head.  Currently he signs about one third of what he wants to communicate and uses his voice to speak the other two thirds.  I have loved watching every single one of my kids learn to talk.  I think speech development is truly amazing, and I just love observing how all the pieces get put together.

Mr. Trouble on Feet puts a cute little “ie” ending on words that he wants to emphasize right now.  For example, wet becomes “wettie,” and hot becomes “hottie.”  There are a bunch of other words that he does this with too. It’s just endearing.

My other favorite thing is when I hear his little voice ask me at every opportune moment, “You happy, Mama?”  Even if I’m not happy I become instantly happy.  I say, “Yep!  I’m happy!”  Without exception, my little guy beams at me and says, “Me happy too!   You happy!  Me happy!  We ALL happy!”
