Conversation at the Park

We were at the park.  There were no bugs because it’s been too cold for bugs to hatch out.  The sun was finally shining after being hidden by cold rainclouds for days on end.  After having a great time on the playground, the kidlets wandered over to a small creek and were just having a fantastic time exploring.  We had planned on bringing them home for supper, but Dr. Peds looked at me and said he was going to go get a pizza instead so they could play longer.

While he was gone, The Banana came bouncing up to me.

The Banana:  Where’s dad?

Me:  He went to get some food.

The Banana (with eyes lit up, very excited) OH!  In the garbage?

(Pause.  Pause.  Pause.)

Wait!  I meant grocery store.
