At the Bus Stop

The middle kidlets started school yesterday, and suddenly we are back to our early rising school schedule.  Of course, it always goes more  smoothly in the fall, when there’s just a smidgen of light upon waking up instead of total blackness in the middle of the winter, and there is no bundling up to do in order to walk out the door.  Mr. TOF was so excited to go down to the bus stop with them on the first day.  At the last minute, however, he somehow scraped his hand on Mr. SP’s backpack zipper and it was bleeding, which caused a lot of drama.  We still managed to get to the bus, which arrived early, but I didn’t get very many pictures.  We were a little thrown off by the fact that the bus stop moved across a busier street this year.

The Banana was terribly excited about getting a new full size backpack this year.  There was much deliberation concerning which backpack to choose.

It was also the first day of fall piano lessons, and the bus home arrived very late yesterday so I didn’t get to talk very much with my kidlets about there day before supper.

Me:  What specialist did you have today?

Mr. SP:  Music!

Me:  Oh good!  How was Mrs. Hanka?

Mr. SP: I would say she was pretty  normal . . . as normal as can be.

Although I’m pretty certain he didn’t mean to insinuate that music teachers have a lot of trouble acting like normal people, that is totally how it came out, and it really cracked me up at the table.
