Crazy Salad

I’ve been busy the last few days doing things that just don’t seem to be of any interest of all. Today Ms. Crazy Preschooler and I went shopping at Target, Barnes and Nobles and the craft store. We splurged and had a grilled cheese sandwhich and a treat at Barnes and Nobles. I really love Barnes and Nobles.

In the afternoon I took Mr. Perpetual Mess and Ms. Crazy Preschooler for a long stroller ride while The Banana stayed with Dad. We strolled around a few of the amazing mansions downhill from our house. Of course, since the mansions were downhill, that meant we had to climb back up the hill. Man does that stroller get heavy.

When I finally huffed and puffed up to the door of my house, my wonderful husband had the salad all ready for supper. I planned on chicken spinach salad, but at the hands of my gourmet mate, we ended up with a delicious dump-the-fridge spinach salad. It was the craziest thing, and I was amazed at how good it was. Along with the spinach and chicken, were lemon, avocado, cheese, carrots, and CORN (!). I snarfed it up. Everybody did, except for Ms. Crazy Preschooler who threw a little snit because she doesn’t like her food to be out of the ordinary. Carrots don’t taste the same chopped up in her mind.

I wish I would have taken a picture of the salad, but I didn’t think of it.
