Just an Everyday Saturday Walk

Everyone needed to go outside and move around a bit.  No one wanted to go on a bit long, fast walk with me, so Dr. Peds decided that everyone should go on a family walk.  Family walks are shorter, slower, and always filled to the brim with drama!  We headed out without a destination, but ended up at one of the big cemeteries in our neighborhood, because it’s good to bring a grand amount of ruckus and chaos to a cemetery every once in awhile, I think.

This is really my chicken hat.  He stole it right off my head.  I may have had to chase him around to get it back.

Dr. Peds, the ever thoughtful and prepared dad, brought a bag of marhmallows and hollered out things like “Run around that duck pond!  The first person back gets a marshmallow!”  This of course facilitated the burning off of at least five times more energy than a normal family walk would.  He also had the kidlets line up to catch marshmallows that he threw at them.  Look at their anticipation of that marshmallow:

Remeber how you and Joe used to go to the cemetery when we lived in the little house that summer? You would water everyone’s plants for them. So glad that neither of you were ever afraid of a cemetery like some kids were. Looks like what started off as disgruntled kids ended up being tons of fun.
