Green

The joys of early spring! Even though this winter was pathetically mild, it is still so wonderful when the very first bulbs peek out of the ground. Every thing is so brown and dead when the snow melts that I even get excited about the first green weeds peeping through the cracks of our patio. Their sweet baby green color makes me smile even though in a few months I’ll be cursing them when I’m trying to pull them out of the cracks between the bricks (what a pain . . . not my favorite job). The temperature outside today is in the 50’s! (Just as warm as inside my house) We have big plans for backyard play today, and maybe even a trip to the park. I love how exhausted kids get in the early spring from being outside ALL day. They sleep so beautifully, as is evidenced by the fact that all THREE of them are napping right now, at the same time, which hasn’t happened for months and months.
