The Sitting Down Band

After going to YaYa’s band concert a few weeks ago, Mr. TOF realized that bands can sometimes sit down, too.  He deiced to try it.  He got the little red chair.  He put on his cowboy boots (because band players have to wear boots on their feet, he tells me).  He found the picture book Olivia Forms a Band and set it right next to his chair on the floor for reference.
Sometimes his loud antics just crack his big sister up. Since the piano students often use a foot stool, it only makes sense that a sitting down band would need a foot stool too, even if their feet can already reach the floor.  He’s obsessed with the trombone lately, but on this day he was pretending to be a trumpet player. It was necessary to check the band in the picture book to explain how he was doing everything right.

Sometimes even sitting down bands have to march around a little bit for a break.
