Last Friday I volunteered at Ms. Crazy Preschooler’s preschool for the morning. On our drive to school Ms. Crazy Preschooler was telling me all about what I could expect as a helper in her classroom.

Ms CP: Last time Bennett’s dad was the helper.

Me: Well, that’s terrific.

Ms. CP: Yeah, he stayed all day. How come the dad could stay all day?

Me: Well, in Bennett’s family, the Mommy is the doctor and the Daddy stays home to take care of the kids.

Ms. CP: Well, Bennett’s dad was a really good helper. He helped people cut, and poured juice, and helped the boys stand in line without punching and pushing other people.

Me: That’s great.

Ms. CP: Yeah, he was a lot of a better helper than MY dad would be. He was a very calm guy. MY dad crazies kids up. And the kids get, well, crazy.
