Writer Extraordinaire

This picture is actually from last week. Ms. Crazy Preschooler was writing a thank you note to Grandma Robbie and Grandpa Ron for her Christmas and birthday presents. Lately I’ve been encouraging her to use her sounding out skills to try to spell things phonetically (I’ve been reading a LOT about early childhood writing theories) but for this particular note, Ms. CP insisted that things would be spelled CORRECTLY. She was adamant that all of the important presents be included in the note. There were a lot of important presents to mention, which made the note rather long by preschool standards. It was so long and her attention span for copying letters so not very long that it took two and a half weeks to finish the note. We finally got it mailed last Friday.
