Before Driving To North Dakota: Watching for the Moon
After a long day of packing and organizing and cleaning to prepare for our departure the next morning, I had read that the full moon on Friday, June 13 was a strawberry moon. The last time a strawberry moon had happened on Friday the 13th was 95 years ago, and the next time wouldn’t be until 2049. I decided that this was a very good excuse to stop packing and throw everyone into the van to head down to the rocky beach for moonrise viewing.
The mosquitos were bad. The moon did not disappoint.
