Baby Nathaniel

Because of a babysitting emergency on my first day in Valley City, I was woken up abruptly and recruited to travel to Fargo with Auntie Dot to take care of Baby Nathaniel while she work that morning.  All of the other kids and cousins spent a morning with Grandma Kathy.  I was dressed with my hair in a pony tail and my teeth brushed, buckled into my seat belt in Auntie Dot’s car in under five minutes flat.  Woo hoo!  It was a great morning, getting this chubby baby all to myself.  We played on the grass and watched the traffic.  We went for several stroller rides.  We wandered through a park in Fargo and ended up strolling down a street with enormous old houses (I love old houses) before narrowly arriving back at Dot’s work place in time to miss a thundershower.

This baby is mellow.  Mellow, mellow, mellow, and so very likable.  We continue to be pals, which I treasure.

I want everyone to know that he sat up for the first time for ME.

He loves to bounce, which makes all of his fat rolls jiggle and the cheeks on his face shake.  Although I love the 8 rolls of fat on his arms and the many more rolls between his knee and hips, my very favorite thing is the crease in for his wrists.

He has an infectious laugh.  I dare you to be grumpy when you hear it.

Look at the wrinkles in that neck. Isn’t that face complete squeezable?
