Sunday Night at the Beach: The Only-One-Kid-Is-Home Edition

The three big kidlets were all in transit to Grandma Kathy’s house to spend more than a week with her on an excursion to the badlands.  It was Sunday Night, so Mr. TOF and I headed to the beach.  He picked a sandy beach, and we headed out just a bit before sunset.  We drove to the farthest access point and then took a walk on the beach together in our bare feet, because that’s the best way to walk on the sandy beach.

We saw a seaplane take off from the harbor airport, which was very exciting.  My boy hopped and ran in the sand, tested out the water, drew all sorts pf shapes and letters with a long stick he found along the way, and chatted incessantly.

It was a gorgeous evening, and we had a wonderful time together.
