The Weather

These are the start of icicles out my living room picture window. It has been raining all day and the minute the rain hits the ground it freezes. It’s very slippery out, obviously. I hate, hate HATE these awnings on my house. While they do keep things very cool in the summer, I never feel like I can see out. All of my windows are reduced to half their normal size, and I end up staring at these dumb metal things all the time. It drives me seriously crazy, especially in the winter when it is dark and dreary all day anyway. Today it has been so dark I have had to have all the lights on all day. I look around the room and it looks like it’s almost night at high noon.
