Happy Birthday Noah

We started the day out with the messy affiar of chocolate chip banana muffins in the bathtub. Breakfast in the bathtub is our family tradition on birthdays, so Ms. Crazy Preschooler and I got up before sunrise to bake yummy muffins for the special affair. You should have seen the bathtub by the time they were done. Suffice it to say that it was a very good thing the bathtub needed to be cleaned anyway.

After getting dressed we opened a big present from Grandma Robbie. It was an exciting basketball hoop and ball, that was the highlight of the day. Immediately after putting it together we took it downstairs where it has been joyously played with ever since. Noah calls it his ball and “woop!” Everytime he wakes up from nap or in the morning he asks to play with the “woop.”

After lunch, rather than taking a nap, we needed to scoot off to the clinic because Hannah had an appointment. The weather was beautiful so we took the stroller and walked. We met up with Dr. Pediatrician, and on the way home Ms. Crazy Preschooler caught a ride with him, and they other two caught a much needed snooze.

Dr. Pediatrician and Ms. Crazy Preschooler brought home helium balloons, and we opened the rest of the presents.

In the late afternoon we moved the “woop” outside and there followed roudy activity punctuated by timeouts for the big sister who was having a tough time with the birthday that wasn’t hers.
