Conversation Snatches: Quick Dry
We are in the middle of swimming lessons. They started last week and finish at the end of this coming week. Each morning the smallest 3 kidlets head off with Dr. Peds or me to the university pool in swimming attire, and each morning they arrive back home in time for lunch, after they have taken a quick shower. Each morning they are supposed to place their swimsuits out on the deck to dry, but this step is often overlooked. Often I find a swimsuit crunched up in a bunch in the evening on a floor in a bathroom or bedroom or who knows where. I summon the owner to take it out to the deck as per indicated in my daily instructions. Thee perpetrator grumbles and deposits the swimsuit outside on the deck in a crunchy bunch, and since it is already evening and the swimsuit isn’t hanging flat on the rail, it doesn’t dry.
Last Thursday morning I told everyone to get ready for swimming. Mr. SP came trouncing back inside with a quite damp swimsuit in his hands. “Mom? If I put this in the microwave will it dry out really quick?”
No. No, my love, it will not.
At least he asked before trying it.
