Weekend at the Cabin: The Birthday Mishap

Each year at the cabin we are lucky to celebrate Auntie Dot’s birthday!  This means cake.  This year the cake was German Chocolate Cake with Coconut Pecan frosting served with ice cream.  Grandma Kathy brought the cake out and everyone gathered around to sing.   Some sang nicely; some sang not-so-nicely, which is a family tradition.  Grandma Kathy sang out loudly, “Happy Birthday dear AMY!”  And then everyone looked at her.  And then everyone burst into laughter.  Poor neglected Auntie Dot!  Poor Grandma Kathy, who will never hear the end of that mistake for the rest of her life!
