Weekend at the Cabin: Miscellaneous Scenes

Just moments after arriving at the cabin, before our family drove in, Uncle Bryan was sitting on the porch swing, suspended between two trees on a metal bar.  Suddenly the bar gave way and he crashed to the ground, and unfortunately the bar crashed onto his head and left an amazing gash (15 stitches and two trips two the ER) along with a concussion.  Everyone was grateful that he was OK in the end.  It was a pretty bad deal.

She stands perfectly still and lets Auntie Dot braid her adorable curls.

This is the look of disbelief that my sister-in-law sometimes gives me.  I do love her so.

KaKa was so excited to drive the jet ski!  She’s got spunk, and she’s willing to try anything.

He has waited ALL YEAR to paddle this yellow kayak again.  He was zipping all over in between the docks, so happy.

The Iowa crew brought supplies to make enormous bubbles.  All weekend long, someone was creating with the bubble bucket.  The bubbles were heavy, and shimmery and absolutely beautiful to watch.

Cousin Miranda brought a guitar.  It was so fun to hear her play.

This was perhaps my favorite little moment at the cabin.  Mr. SP so graciously and nicely gave his little cousins a small ride on the big wing floaty.  They loved it, and it was so fun to watch him treating them so well.
