Where I Went
I’m alive! Really! A few days ago I arrived back from a tropical traveling adventure, and because it takes me a long time to recover from traveling to get back into the groove of our daily routine, I’ve been absent here.
The kidlets spent the week having tons of fun with Grandma Kathy, while Dr. Peds and I joined some friends who were vacationing in Hawaii. We had never taken a trip together without kids, so it was kind of a big deal. Also, Hawaii is far away, and warm. While I love Lake Superior so much I pretty much never want to leave to go anywhere, the warm Pacific Ocean along the coasts of Hawaii is pretty sweet in February. I was a bit apprehensive about even taking this trip, but I ended up having a fabulous time. I have lots to share over the next few days. You will be suffering from a picture overload from Kauai, trust me.
Because it was winter break from school, the kidlets did not miss out on anything academic while they were away. They have, however, been completely bombarded with homework the past few days. Homework help and piano students have kept me on my toes. Leaving and arriving home from a trip is always a bit challenging for me.

I am so excited that you and Dr. Peds had a chance to go to Hawaii. What a beautiful place, I was there back in 1974. Waiting to see pictures and stories of your trip. This winter I have been going to warm places through family and friends pictures.
