Dying Easter Eggs

Grandma Robbie set up an egg dying station in the machine shed.  Six dozen eggs were never colored so fast.  Ever.  It was a frenzy.

Why bother using a spoon to dip the eggs when you could just use your hands?  In fact, after the eggs were all colored, the little people started dunking their hands in the dye without any eggs.  Beautiful.  It might have seemed like a lot of hard boiled eggs, but this crew put a dent in them pretty quickly at supper that night.  They ate a lot of hard boiled eggs, and a lot of cauliflower because Grandma Robbie let them dip veggies in Ranch dressing.  After the air had a pretty distinctive aroma.  In fact, clouds of hard-boiled-egg-laced-with-ranch smell seemed to follow those small people wherever they went all through the holiday.

The weekend was so fun, everytime I see the straw bales I picture all the kids on them and it brings a smile. Was just the BEST weekend, Grandpa and I had just as much fun as the kids.
