Sunday Night at the Beach: The Better Bundle Up Edition

Sunday was cold and windy.  It was even colder and windier at the beach.  At the top of the hill it was barely 45 degrees, and at the bottom it was even colder.  I’m sure with the strong winds off the lake that the wind chill was in the thirties or even colder.  Thankfully, we knew this and brought winter hats and mittens along.  We planned for the trip to be a bit shorter than usual as well, which worked out great because several people still had homework and tasks to finish before Monday morning.

We got to the beach and everyone left the car.  Dr. Peds and I turned around and we were alone on the beach.  All of the kidlets found their way back inside the warm car awfully quick.  When they saw that Dr. Peds had a bag of marshmallows, though, they came tumbling out of the van like clowns exiting a tiny car.

They obtained a marshmallow, ran around in circles to keep warm while chewing it, and then ran right back to the car.

After a bit the car was boring, so one by one they came meandering back to watch the wonderful waves.

There was a small reprieve of last week.

If you are too grumpy around here you get to spin around in the air.

Someone was being a bit cheeky, so she got to hang out upside down.
