At the Creek

The weather here keeps oscillating from warm and bright days to damp, cold and windy days.  Those dips down into freezing or almost freezing temperatures have helped keep the bug population at bay for the most part, somehow without hurting the wildflowers and new leaves on the trees.  Fewer bugs means that Mr. TOF and I were able to venture to a couple of different creeks to play last week.  It is so much fun to throw sticks and rocks into the creek, and one of the days was so warm that Mr. TOF wore his swimming trunks and did a little wading through the water.

These pictures were taken on a day that was a little cooler and a little buggier.  Mr. Trouble on Feet came prepared with a snack in his backpack.  He’s very into accessorizing these days, hence the eyeglasses, baseball cap (Papa’s favorite team is the Twins) and his shiny AWANA awards ribbon.   He cracks me up daily.

Because he’s a chatty kid, he talked nonstop all the way to the creek, all the time we were at the creek and all the way walking home from the creek.  The kid knows how to converse.
