Weekend Away
This past weekend I was blessed to be able to travel all by myself to the other edge of my state to get together with two of my very best friends ever. We went to the Concordia Christmas concert on Friday night, and then talked ALL weekend! We stayed up late two nights talking, and talked all day about truly everything under the sun: fun things, not fun things, things we agree about, things we have different perspectives about, our families, politics, being parents, what’s been happening in our lives, church, music, teenagers, technology. Friends and conversations like these are to be treasured, and I do treasure them! We had such a good time. It was so relaxing, and was totally worth the drive (a 5 hour drive is not so terribly bad when you don’t have a gaggle of difficult children as passengers!)
I don’t have ANY pictures of the weekend, because I was too busy talking, but one of my friends sent me this quick selfie we took before we hopped in our cars to drive home this morning.
