Scenes from Thanksgiving Weekend: Part 2

The Saturday after Thanksgiving the small cousins were napping and the big cousins went to the beach.  It was a terrific afternoon.  

There’s never a lack of expression with this crew.  

Selfies were in order. 

Cousin Janzie went rock hopping and tried not to get wet.  She was successful.  Mr. SP went rock hopping and tried not to get wet.  He was not successful.  Par for the course. (I don’t have a picture of that, but he was soaked from the waste down when he landed in the water.)

Earlier in the day Auntie Dot worked her hair magic.  The Banana got to try out all sorts of fancy hairdos over the long weekend.

After spending some time crawling around on the rocks at the beach, we headed to Lester Park for a short waterfall walk.

Cousin Janzie got a burr stuck in her hair.

Yaya stole my cat eye glasses.  And cracked herself up. 

Really, this afternoon might have been one of my very favorite parts of the weekend because it was really fun to hang out with these big kids. They got along great with one another and there was so much laughter and craziness.  It made me remember all the fun I used to have with my cousins from Nebraska.  We didn’t get to see each other often, but we really had fun when we did.
