Sunday Night at the Beach 2017: Mothers Day

It was Mother’s Day, so I took it upon myself to be the person who picked which beach we would go to on Sunday Night.  I picked the Secret Beach, which made some people grouchy and some people happy.  YaYa stayed behind at home because she wasn’t feeling very well.  I knew that it was going to be a wavy night, and I had been wanting to go to the Secret Beach when the waves were bigger.  It didn’t disappoint.

We also knew that the wind was going to be chilly, so we came prepared, dressed in some warm layers.  We felt a little ridiculous, a little “unlocal.”  But it occurred to me that we were the only locals out at the beach on such a blustery, chilly night, so . . . I guess we are hardy locals even if we didn’t dress the part.

Mr. SP made some repairs on a natural shelter that someone else had started the framework for.

Mr. TOF did a lot of running to and fro.

I found a little sheltered place between some big rocks enjoyed watching the curling waves come crashing in.  I love their roar.

Mr. SP loves to taunt the waves.  After a bit the Big Lake had enough of his shenanigans and showed him a thing or two with a monster wave no one predicted.
