Mr. SP Attends Music Camp

I’m behind on a lot of posts, so bear with me!  A few weeks ago Noah spent seven days at International Music Camp.  It was his first time, and it went well.  His trumpet playing sounds so much better and it was motivating for him to play in an ensemble where he had to work hard.  His perspective on the week was so different from his big sister’s experiences there, (he chickened out of trying out for jazz band . . .mabye next year.  And he played a lot of nine square in his free time, and somehow fell asleep in sectional class before his teacher arrived)  but I am really happy that it went well and that he learned a lot.  I loved listening to the concert when I picked him up.  It’s so fun to see hundreds of middle schoolers playing beautifully together.  The conductor of the bands for the first session of music camp is really energetic and he really gets the kids on board for some great music making.  Mr. SP was super exhausted on the way home.  We stopped for an overnight stay at Grandma Robbie’s, and then the next day I dropped him off at Grandma Kathy’s for two weeks.
