Hot Days, Cold Water
I know, I know, you’re starting to think we just live at the beach this summer. The thing is, though, there is no place better for swollen, pregnant feet on a hot day than dangling from a rock into the ice cold water of Lake Superior. Everyone always seems so happy at the beach; it’s such an easy way to spend a few hours later in the day. Because I’m frightfully lazy and I can barely make it around the block on my own two feet right now, we aren’t doing as much hiking through the forest or waterfall watching or neighborhood walks or any of those great summer activities that involve more than me sitting down in one spot this summer. The beach is so easy and accessible!
Everyone except The Banana and I traveled to the rocky beach wearing their wetsuits (Thank you Auntie Dot for the purple wetsuit find at the thrift store). The Banana sadly didn’t have a wetsuit. I wouldn’t have fit into one if I did have one! There was jumping and floating and some serious swimming going on just offshore. I enjoyed cold, submerged toes.
