Sunday Night at the Beach: Edition 9 — Late

Our trip to the beach was delayed because we couldn’t head out until The Banana and Mr. TOF were done with soccer practice.  Then, to complicate things, there were some wardrobe malfunctions and other issues with necessitated a quick trip home before actually heading to the water.  I almost turned the corner and headed to the rocky beach instead due to our super late start, but I had promised the sandy beach and was loudly reminded that I need to follow through on my word, so we ventured down to the sand.  We actually ended up stopping at a place halfway down the peninsula instead of all the way down, to save time, but that was fine.

And it was also just fine that we arrived as the sun was setting.  The mosquitos held off, and the sky was beautiful.  Knowing that we would only be there for a short time, these three wasted no time heading into the water to make boats out of driftwood logs.

The lights of the city began to twinkle, and the sky just kept getting rosier.  It was a late night by the time we got home and everyone showered, but who can complain about late nights?  It’s summer, after all!
