Baby Alex Gets Bigger

Baby Alex is enormous.  Huge.  Gigantic.  I realize he’s only just doubled his birthweight, which means he’s just a bit over 20 pounds, but they are a monstrous 20 pounds for a six month old, and compared to Squirmy’s almost 12 pounds at this point, Alex is a giant.  A Goliath in the making.  I’m sure Squirmy will be the same size at Christmas, but it just doesn’t seem possible to me at the moment!  I’m realizing today that I should have managed to get a picture of the two babies to compare their sizes.

Bsby Alex is the happiest baby I may have ever come across.  He is content doing pretty much anything, and for the most part, he played on my very dirty floor, happily rolling around and chasing his baby toys, and grinning up at me as often as he could.  He knows how to melt an auntie’s heart.  I was sad I didn’t have more opportunities to snuggle him up.  The visit was short, and my Squirmy was loud and Squirmy for the most part.  I had to settle for watching him spin his legs on the carpet and do baby push ups.

The Banana had a wonderful time playing and playing with Alex.

Dr. Peds and I have been smiling about how Alex seems to have inherited Ya Ya’s ears.  Her ears did this exact same thing at six months.  I love it.
